Any other administration, this would have been a major scandal.

No excuses necessary, you appear to have used terms that are verifiable based upon this persons observable behavior.

Of all the awful things you can say about Ms. Leavit, you chose to criticize the age of her partner. Why? How about she’s dumb as a stump, or can’t seem to answer the question she is asked. Going low is ok when it is relevant to the issues at hand, which the age of her partner is not.

Senator Smith, is anyone on your staff reading the comments on you posts? How are your constituents expecting you to act during this unprecedented time? I know Senator Klobuchar and her staff are not getting the message, are you?

Twin Peaks was amazingly different for the era, such rich storytelling

Congratulations Senator Klobuchar. I am a long time constituent. I know that I do not have to remind you that the oath of office requires you to uphold section 3 of the 14th amendment, but maybe you do need to hear that your constituents are watching and expect you to lead on this topic.

You did, I had to look back through the thread to find it. Apologies for missing that. It is still a single stat that doesn’t tell the full story.

Also, I am a supporter of electric vehicles. I just don’t care for people pretending that one stat proves a point. (That it does not) Fires involving LI Batteries burn much hotter, fire fighters can’t put them out with traditional methods, causing infrastructure damage that a GPV doesn’t.

You come with a statistic that seems to support the thought that electric vehicles have less fires. I can’t check the stat, because you didn’t tell us where the stat came from and you lob it out there as if it should in itself change people’s perspective.
comment in response to post
Wow, those are some stats. What is your point? Do you have fatality and injury statistics that will help your argument? What about causes of those fires? GPVs rely on highly combustible fuels, so how about a big duh?

This would be really impactful if there was any explanation of time frames and such. I looked at this and thought that those numbers are pretty low for the level of corruption suggested. Has anyone seen more robust reporting on this ?

Also, please stop casting Travis Fimmel in pivotal roles! He was believable as Ragnar Lothbrok, but he brings something disagreeable to the screen in other roles. Seems to bring the wrong energy to the parts he plays. (I’m thinking he’d be great for movies where action is the plot )

I find that the more complex a literary universe is, the harder it is to adapt it to the screen in a way that appeals to the masses. All adaptations of the Dune universe fall prey to this, and all end up telling parts of the story in disappointing ways.
