Beautiful, also love that you named the inspiration! Too often not the case these days on social media.

Did the same thing when I watched it. Really amazing acting all around tbh.

Don't worry, the students always are more vocal once they get to know you too!

I have mentored EFL teachers all over the world, and I have a lot to say about this (including how gender can have an impact), but with time you'll find your way! I've always been creative & love trying new things but a lot of failure and confusion at 1st too 😆

Why is 90% of their business foreigners? Maybe they've priced out the locals? 👀

I admit I couldn't tell if they were saying it was temporary since it seems certain programs changed at the end of March? so may be re-stocking? or something?

yep such a good way to discover new things, especially the off-the-beaten path stuff & parks!

Tokyo is incredibly walkable! And if you make a rough plan you can always take buses or trains to give you a break for part of the journey. Full disclosure: I love walking and will almost always choose it unless the weather is awful or the distance is unrealistic.

This is so cute & sweet. Honestly this was moooost of my experiences in Japan (back when my Japanese was worst) & nowadays it's mostly just rudeness from people who assume I don't speak Japanese, so those folks probably don't deserve my energy or yen anyway.

🤤 your posts make me want to get out of the lazy funk w/ cooking I've been in. Used to love it but sometime during the pandemic (when I was cooking everything 3x a day) I got exhausted.

Anyway, I said to myself if I ever opened a studio, I'd try my best to not do that. We'll see if I can survive as a small business! I love teaching yoga, but the pushy sales stuff is just not for me 😅😂

they wanted me to pay both for the month I didn't come at all & the new calendar month. I told them I didn't have that much money because of my situation & they sort of pointed at the door & honestly that was great because it led me down a completely new path of yoga that's far healthier for me.

I used to study at a very popular chain, religiously, and had a monthly membership. Once I had to go abroad for a month for a family emergency, taking lots of time off work, it was super rough on me financially. I didn't practice at all for 1 calendar month. I came back & explained the situation...
