A shader with a scrolling 3D noise should do the trick, that's what I did in this Unreal scene. Some large fog card particles should work well too, but comes with a higher risk for alpha sorting issues.

Thanks! It's done using lightmaps, a scene-wide texture storing static lighting information :)

Heh yeah! In all seriousness, I wish I had a headset to get an actual feel of the scale of this space, maybe I'll have to finally get one sometime :D

I'm getting more and more convinced you have Godot memes prepared covering every possible situation.

... and the next minute you're face to face with Shai-Hulud, as it breaches the surface and towers over you. 👀

It's not a requirement of art to attach some meaning to it, it's nice to just make peoples brain go brrrrrrrr by making something pretty

Ah man, I so badly want to make the switch too, and get out of this windows hellhole, but there's just a handful of programs that I'd miss too much, and I don't want to dual boot 😭

Hahaha no worries! :D It was part of some desperately needed changes, there were several issues with reflection probes pre-4.4 that made them entirely unusable. There are still a ton of improvements they can (and should receive) but at least overall they're pretty solid now with lightmapGI :)
