If you already did the card sort survey, this is different! It's the second survey in the process, based on all the great ideas you gave me in the first one.

I would be melancholy too. You posted so many good and useful things.

Also saw the first violets of the year when I finally cleared the mud.

This is the ideal time for my favourite (only) bit of Sussex dialect trivia: Did you know that Sussex dialect has 30 words for mud? This mud is both stoach and slub. www.southdowns.gov.uk/sussex-mud/

I just want to be like everyone else. Doing things properly is hard.

Next up, emotional turmoil when I see people do not organise content in the way I expected and I actually have to design a proper IA, not just go on gut feel and vibes.

Aren't they just?

This was a great read - thank you.

I've responded and also emailed my MP. If you feel strongly about it, and haven't done either of those things yet, please take a minute this evening.

Creating this content takes time, money, and expertise. AI companies should not be able to take all that intellectual property for free and without permission.

This is such an important moment for people and organisations that create content and creative works. And from my specific POV, I think the impact could detrimental to the whole content sector, but especially for nonprofits that have invested in developing information and advice content.

In brief: the government is proposing that AI companies have the right to use the content you've written, the images and videos you've created. If you don't want this to happen, you would have to opt out. This will be time-consuming and expensive, if not wildly impractical.

Thanks. Tilda did really well. She recognised them from a distance away but managed to stay relatively calm. The incidents with this person and their dog were one of the things that sparked Tilda's anxiety. We've had to do so much work to rebuild her confidence. She's fine now.

There needs to be way more education and way less stigma about muzzling. It protects everyone and shouldn't be a big deal.

They had the audacity to try and tell me that no one has complained about their dog before.

This person is notorious in Brighton dog circles. So many people's dogs have been bitten (not hard or enough to cause serious injury, thankfully) and they've only just started to put it on a lead (and only when they see another dog coming).

I can't unsee that now.

Found my favourite fungus - scarlet elf cup. Only ever see them in one part of the woods.

Me too. One of the key benefits of living in an aquatic terrestrial nexus conurbation (the seaside).

Tacked on some extra time after my meeting so I could be a tourist in Newcastle.

Oh cool, might get the sewing machine out and give it a go.

That's so cool! I've wondered about doing this with Tilda, but wasn't sure how to introduce the concept.

More proposals. In Jan there’s always a mad rush to spend before the end of the tax year. The work I get offered/asked to bid for is enough to sustain me for 6 months. But I end up having to turn down/refer on lots of things that I really want to do, because I can’t get it all done by 31st March.

I also thought about how many people are waiting to feel like they've 'arrived' in their career. But if it's your job, if you're doing it, you've arrived, you're legit.

Thought about impostor syndrome, the unwanted guest at many career parties. It’s been in the culture cos of this: www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/co... I liked that she highlighted how important it is to recognise the work you put into your career and be proud of what you’ve achieved.

That's so kind - thank you very much. (And what a skillset/area of knowledge to have.)

It did help. But split tickets actually turned out to make the biggest difference - with that option Newcastle and Sunderland were the same cost pretty much. It's all so confusing.

I'm not travelling from London and need to travel at rush hour - hence the higher prices.
