Brexit promised to “take back control of our borders” But it also created huge labour shortages So, govt issued huge numbers of visas to fill the gaps. It ended reciprocal asylum arrangements with the EU So, crossings went up. Govt response? “Take back control of our borders” Such a ruinous deceit.

Well done Labour Anyone who thought you represented real change now despises you. Anyone who didn’t, still won’t. People who weren’t that convinced but hoped for the best are out of patience. You’ve managed to turn off everyone. Quite the achievement!

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening. That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk. Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

Perhaps we could appeal to the 80% of voters who think Nigel Farage is a scumbag? Instead of everyone appealing to the 20% who are racist morons?

"Pause to note how extraordinary it is, to hear this kind of denigratory language coming from a human-rights lawyer." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

My letter to the Prime Minister. #immigration

Labours anti-migrant policy announcements r a cynical cruel & authoritarian attempt to appease Reform @scottishgreens.org accused the PM of using real peoples lives as political props & choosing to blame migrant workers for Labour’s refusal to improve wages & conditions greens.scot/news/starmer...

Starmer's anti-immigrant speech today wasn't just a moral and political embarrassment. It was also an intellectual embarrassment. inews.co.uk/opinion/star...

A Labour prime minister has just said that immigration could make is ‘an island of strangers.’ I really don’t have the words for such repulsive, xenophobic, right wing nonsense.

And now I'd love every single media outlet to spend the next two years taking the p**s, repeating how bonkers it is, how everyone following him is a luny and how he'll be wrecking the country. Oh no wait, that's just for Jeremy Corbyn

Listening to #YvetteCooper on #SkyNews doing her best to sound like a Tory reform chaser, with her stupid trash talk on immigration and “no return to FOM”! These f**king stupid people, stepping up on TV to say everything farage wants to hear 🙈 Shame on her and #Labour, disgusting attitude!

I think we need the Greens to have much much more influence in U.K. politics. And I suspect this guy has what it takes. We need real leadership n the left now that Labour has shifted to the right so much.

Months before Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost became the first American pope, he expressed criticism of Vice President JD Vance on social media, sharing an article that called the vice president’s interpretation of Christian doctrine “wrong.”

Pro migrant pope, good

An anniversary worth marking. I'm sure we're going to see the very people who have trashed its legacy seek to appropriate WW2 today - so let's remember what was really fought for: peace, a more united Europe, a land fit for heroes (mark 2) and the defeat of fascism.

One of the strangest ironies of the last ten years has been watching Britain immersing itself as deeply as ever in memories of WW2 while proudly turning its back on the project that emerged from it.

So, admit it, who else went "WILL!!!!" 15 mins into episode 1 of the latest season of #thehandmaidstale ?

🚨🌱 The Chancellor is reviewing all public spending from scratch. Please join me in signing the @campaignforthearts.org petition to remind the UK Govt: the arts make our lives happier & our communities stronger. Now is the moment to invest in them. www.campaignforthearts.org/petitions/sp...

As a grammar fanatic I love this 😂

Is anyone going to talk about the fact that recently most of the times supermarkets in England are EMPTY? No fruit and produce, no fish no dairy... it's SHOCKING.

voters say 'stop austerity for the most vulnerable', Blue-dominated Labour will hear stop the migrants and eviscerate academia.

Copying Reform on immigration while cutting money from OAPs and the disabled has been a disaster Surely, now, Labour must change course www.theneweuropean.co.uk/james-ball-n...

Rutherford and Glasman should do us all a favour and join Reform. They are dangerous bigots. Yet it's very clear now why Starmer is doing what he's doing. He follows these people's advice. And horrendously leading the country towards conservative populism Future of the Left project,

Why exactly do we have to hear from these weird and creepy oddballs? Nobody likes or wants this shit, these people have no achievements to their names and nobody voted for any of it. Even if Gaby prefers to highlight one of the less embarrassing ones.

If you actually thought there were "too many" people arriving in the UK, you would support and end to arms dealing and interventionist wars abroad that destabilise countries and create refugees. And you would fund childcare at home to make it easier for people to have kids. But they won't.

This is who Starmer is being advised by via McSweeney. But the UK already has a populist party. Reform voters won't switch back. In order to win, Labour must have ITS OWN VISION of a fairer better kinder society. A positive message of hope based on socialist principles. Not mimicking Farage or Trump

@teamlabouruk.bsky.social is truly truly dumb right? STOP TRYING TO BE REFORM! We all despise you for it and never ever ever vote Labour again! www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

This

Rubio publicly criticizing an ally for cracking down on right-wing extremism. And Germany hitting back. We are in a new world

When Andrea Jenkyns said in her victory speech that Reform UK would "reset Britain to its glorious past" it sounded like a threat. Back to the 1930s with Reform UK. Unapologetic sexism, racism & colonialism, no Scottish or Welsh Parliaments, rampant sectarianism in the north of Ireland.

Keir Starmer is primarily known for two things - kicking pensioners and disabled people. Absent of any vision for the country, he's paving the way for Nigel Farage to end up in No. 10. New post: www.owenjones.news/p/labour-hea...

We have now arrived at the "arresting judges" level of fascism.

BREAKING: The constitutional crisis has arrived. We knew it was coming, just not when.
