Not Gen Z but have used of course instead of don't mention it. Discovered recently that there are cultures where "you're welcome" is slightly rude because maybe it implies thanker is now in your debt?

I would argue the bigger problem is congress delegating their war powers to the chief executive.

It took me years to discover The Economist was a magazine of the right in the early aughts bc they were so far left of the Democratic party.

Is that really the problem?

This is the correct answer. And everyone hates the Yankees aside from their misguided fans.

And should add the price for this will be paid by a lot of small suppliers that rely on both UNFI and WFM for their success.
comment in response to post
UNFI is the main supplier for a lot of really great places like coops so I recognize this is not good for a lot of reasons. However, UNFI and WFM are places that treat suppliers like crap so part of me is also enjoying this. Sometimes it can be 2 things.

Not a diversion, it's part and parcel of ripping healthcare away from millions of Americans.

They took a cue from the UK where they said their ruling wasn't meant to discriminate against Trans people, fuckers

The worst. Why won't they just do it? And why can't my spouse stop saying "don't worry about it"? Seriously only makes it worse. Worry with me or shut up.

They may also be muted or blocked by people.

I loved the story on On the Media about how most of these people didn't really want to immigrate to begin with they were mainly hoping their story would put them back in power in South Africa and now this. It's really the story that keeps on giving.

I recently heard an interview with a linguistics prof explaining that ai uses statistics for what letters should come next when generating something so now I've started wondering what was the thing that made ai think a wrong thing was statistically the best to generate.

I briefly worked for ed tech and left after I realized all upper management sent their kids to Waldorf schools and wouldn't let them near a computer let alone the program they created.

It's happening in Vermont as well. I assume it's just retribution against Michelle Obama's efforts to get healthier food into school lunches. I just assume everything the administration does is retribution of some slight perceived.

2 days ago in a meeting. It's why I'll never stop bringing paper and pen to meetings. Well that and so I don't get distracted by the internet if I started bringing laptop instead.

Have you considered how you might behave if you were starving in a war zone with limited internet access?

I've worked for cpg companies and in data we've gotten Walmart always indexes at 100 for total us population maybe because the projections from the shoppers they get data from says 90% shop there at least once a year.
comment in response to post
I think it's probably ever shopped. However Walmart is the primary grocery store for a large percentage of the country. And I know the demographics for Walmart shoppers closely mirrors America overall.

I feel the same way. And yet I've seen instances of small talk that have made people feel seen. So even if 99% of rote fluff, it's all worth it for that 1% of times it's not rote fluff for someone.
