My day will pass with moments of deep reflection on the immense pain Israel experienced today. Nuance still exists & recognizing Israel’s pain does not ignore the pain of Palestinians. Today, as the bodies of babies in coffins come home, today I can only think of Israel & our people’s collective 💔.😢

There is honestly no better compliment than someone saying they like your taste in music

Dear guy chasing my ass on the highway from the right lane for no good reason: I hope karma finds you and your today gets f*cked in some small way. You deserve it.

Doing my last life task before I get to curl up with the book I’m currently reading and enjoying so much. So much anticipation-the comfort of my bed coupled with the best feeling of ‘I can’t wait to read what happens next!’. #booksky

I have a problem. I succumbed to a Facebook ad and I’m not proud of myself. I tried so hard to resist. But damn if now I can’t wait for this freaking under eye corrector/concealer to show up so I can see what it’s all about!

I’m not Shomer Shabbat. I still go out and do errands, etc. but I’ve definitely carved out a separation in my week and this morning, I found myself craving the peace of my Shabbat. I listened to this song and thought about what to make for dinner. open.spotify.com/track/5Xv6Jf...

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים: Blessed is the One who releases the captured. So grateful to have our people back home.

So today it was 48 degrees and tomorrow we’ll be fighting to get to 0. It’s exhausting. Weather whiplash.

Our neighbors 2 houses down still have their big ole Christmas lights display up and they still make me smile every time I turn onto our street.

I was not being all that nice to my husband, who seemed to be suffering thru a man cold. Turns out, he was positive for Flu A and strep and shared his germs with me, his disbelieving wife. Feel miserable. Ugh.

Oh Chicago, your brunch options rarely disappoint. Met @danielblan.bsky.social in Rogers Park today for brunch at Honeybear Cafe. Holy smokes! Delicious! And adorable.

Finishing a book you really enjoyed is simply the best feeling. Just finished such a good one. And while I wish it would have kept going, basking in the glow of the resolution feels totally lovely.

lol. Vayigash in a nutshell.

lead singer: ARE YOU READY TO ROCK???? me in the pit trying to clean the front of my glasses w my tshirt: JUST A SEC, BUD

"oh, you like that band? name three of their songs!" buddy thats not how it works. the bands name their own songs

I am very proud of myself for keeping all of my commitments today. All could’ve been adjusted; none were things I particularly wanted to do. But I did them all and now I don’t have to reschedule anything. Go me.

Yes. This. Time to cook. Again. It’s cool, though. Been looking forward to Shabbat all week. Fun friends are coming over!

This song brings me back to eighth grade, when this was on the radio all the time, and how dreamy and chill it was despite things being stressful that year.

Hanukkah around LA has been so fun to see. My personal favorite Chanukiyah we saw was Friday evening in Laguna. Totally on point!

Visiting LA for winter break and we are at the Rams V Cards game. Vibe is soooo fun. Big game for these fans! Mariachi Rams = huge yay! Also, sax musician did an amazing anthem performance. @losangelesrams.bsky.social let’s gooooooo!

Using the right color sprinkles can make Christmas Crack convert to Hanukkah. 😉 Happy winter holidays to all!

In 2 days, we arrive in the land of palm trees and the Pacific. The next day, aka Christmas, we can’t wait to celebrate HannukahinSantaMonica!! Kosher Chinese from Pico/Robertson is on tap. #winterbreak2024

8:20 appointment for my annual #mammogram. I was 2 minutes late. It’s now 8:40. I’m done, dressed, and heading for the exit. So fast. So important.

A pic popped up today to remind me we closed on our suburban home 9 years ago. After almost 8 years in NYC&15 in Chicago,it was very difficult for my hubs to talk me into leaving the city. I’m so glad we did. I ❤️ our home. I love our ‘burb & really love our lives. And I go downtown any time I want.

Today’s Torah portion. But make it SATC. 🤣

I got a letter from Mohela today, confirming my student loans are 100% paid off. 💜🎉💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 For reference, I’ll be 50 on my next birthday and I only have undergraduate degrees - I graduated from a dual degree program so I have 2.Still. It took too long to hit this milestone.Wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

As a Jew who doesn’t subscribe to over- decorating for Hanukkah, this time of year still makes me so happy. I love seeing cars with fresh trees on top, knowing they’re going to get decorated. I get so happy each time I turn onto my street, thanks to my neighbor who really does it up in their yard. 🎄

I feel like I deserve a sticker that says: I survived Woodfield Mall on Black Friday. It’s not quite a badge of honor like voting, but it certainly is an accomplishment nonetheless. #blackfriday

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy that isn’t a selfie.

The floor for tonight’s #bulls game. Bulls Cup Nights.

I’m so happy @niallharbison.bsky.social is here with the dogs!! He was one of the only reasons I still wanted to check in at the other place. Everyone needs to follow him and see the amazing work done at Happy Doggo. And then make a recurring donation to keep it going, even if it’s small.

At the doctor’s office with my 13 year old after 2+ days of fever and general malaise. We’re here so I asked the nurse to measure his height. She obliged. Ummmmmm. My 13 year old is 5’8.5”. What what whaaaaaaat? #parenting #kids
