An absolute icon. I love this statue of her in Seneca Falls, NY. She was important to women’s suffrage also!

Just spent a few days in Boston, which we’d sworn off visiting after a nightmare of looping one way streets in 2000. It’s still tricky in GPS era, but nowhere near as bad as it had been in Mapquest era

They would rather have near constant eye irritation and infections? 🤦‍♀️

The eligible voters in my house all voted; our district had only 9% turnout 😢 I think it’s hard to get folks excited when many races had the same number of candidates as slots, so who runs in November is a foregone conclusion.

In the vote for up to ___, it’s always an option to choose fewer. 🤷‍♀️ I guess it’s my little act of defiance? If the Bar Assn thinks someone is awful….

The Pennsylvania Bar Association had a slate of candidates they endorsed for judges. And we had three ballot questions in the city.

Thankful to be GenX who has always been ignored (except for some handwringing about “slackers” in the mid-90s). The invisible don’t get hated on. 😂

Mine was the green and blue sign. Very energizing to gather with my city to stand against tyranny.

I eventually realized that what you write in a journal isn’t nearly as important as just having an outlet to privately vent about whatever stresses or excites or intrigues you in the moment. It’s a tool of process. Even if you never read it, the outpouring is so emotionally helpful.

“This land is your land” by Woody Guthrie is a fave of mine, but how do you think they’d react to it?

On the plus side I can’t get addicted to the opioid because I’m mildly allergic to it. Silver linings 🤷‍♀️

This type likes getting a rise out of people. Gray rock them always (stony looks, cold monosyllabic responses). When the opportunity arises, secretly boobytrap their desk. Glitter bombs are good.

I’m an elder GenX who caught chickenpox from a sibling when I was an infant. I got shingles the first time at age 6; second time, age 26; third time, age 54. Now 2x vaxxed on doctor’s orders (during Biden admin).
