This popped into my feed as suggested, I read it, enjoyed it, and when I went back to like and repost, I couldn't find it... So, check this out from @laurenrelarkin.bsky.social

And in accepting that we are being addressed we begin to find our way again, we can begin to focus again, we can be reoriented toward God because of our orientation toward Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit and, thusly, toward each other in love. laurenrelarkin.com/2025/03/02/l...

Just remember, when things look bleak, this exists: ergofabulous.org/luther/?

One of my main love languages is receiving questions by peers and friends about Luther. Makes me feel seen, heard, acknowledged, known, loved... Thanks @katehanch.bsky.social

I just called my reps with @5calls.org, you should too: 5calls.org

Those human beings just doing their jobs and doing them well and finding themselves on the side of the resistance is what is keeping me going rn

...sinners and the scorned are those who choose idols over God as their object of love and dependence. In other, other words, they are those who have chosen themselves, their own ways and turned their backs on God and God’s ways. laurenrelarkin.com/2025/02/16/f...

Excited for this conversation about White Christian Nationalsim and Reproductive Rights through EDS!

Ive had the privilege of reading the work of The Rev. Dr. Carter Heyward thru my research on Dorothee Sölle. Also I was honored to listen to The Rev. Dr. Rebecca Todd Peters at the Lutheran Scholars Network panel at AAR this past fall. This *will be* an excellent conversation eds.edu/programs/eds...

Its in adhering 2 this ancient claim that creates the timelessness of the church—its the essence of the invisible church, ties that bind beyond human-made boundaries randomly drawn, beyond separations of generations & beyond seemingly uncrossable expanses of space laurenrelarkin.com/2025/02/09/b...

Tho I am excited to get to use this more often: Hi, PhD in Theology and Political ethics and ordained priest here👋

I am certain I've never seen anything more deluded than what's in this document. Listen to me: this is government over-reach in the name of 'protecting religious liberty'. This isn't going to go well. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

I think I'm on substack....

We can find ourselves relocated b4 God, oriented to the Creator as creatures...we can, once again, find our voices 2 speak n2 the darkness of the kingdom of humanity & remember exactly what God expects of us as followers of Christ baptized by fire & the Holy Spirit laurenrelarkin.com/2025/02/02/w...

Dry January is always a great reminder and reset 💚💚💚💚 And I’m ending it a few hours early…

Okay, have some time, might as well get going on this. I feel like I’m back in seminary 🤓 #LetsDanceBarth

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

Building a course on Resistance… Just got thru day one (of six, each session is 90 minutes) completing both outline and slides. Current status:

Haven't been in a class on Barth since I went into labor with my eldest (now 18) during the second to last week of the Barth Reading class during my second to last semester of my MDiv. As a non-Barthy-people person, this has been a fascinating first 30 minutes so far!

No one is exempt in narcissistic systems implementing any type of purity narratives. No one is safe, no matter what. Not even if you are the closest to the center, to the "leader"...not even you are safe from that insecurity and fear. Insecure authority *will always* consider anyone *else* a threat.

I just finished my teaching outline for my Sunday Education Class, "The Sons of Abraham" where the last two weeks are in the book of Revelation, ch. 7. It's 33 pages long. And that's not including side conversations that fill in gaps. I think this could be a course...

DOOMERISM ISN'T A STRATEGY.

Excited to dive into this text 💚

I said awhile back that there is one group in this world that is the blueprint for fighting for liberty and justice: Black Americans. Black Americans have laid a GLOBAL blueprint for how we use systems, our dollars, and local communities to fight for a better future.

For those of us still using gifs to communicate, do you have a signature gif? I do, it's this one, right? (tell me if I'm wrong, folx)

Finished.

youtube.com/watch?v=2tui... Sooooooo good! Take a moment to watch and (re)learn the difference between mis- and dis- information!

I think its clear, as a body we don't really know what preaching is and have long left the task behind to find ways to grow our congregations and keep our power, privilege, and comfort. It might do well to take a moment and reflect on why we r so taken aback over Bp. Budde's sermon on Wednesday.

Did you know I was on a podcast recently? I've not been invited on a podcast in ages, but here we are. On Sunday I got to talk with Matthew Best about Dorothee Sölle, religion and politics, Project 2025, and what we should be doing now... Link to Spotify is here: open.spotify.com/episode/7gPG...
