For myself in the last few years I feel like the flag can be associated with certain political ideologies or actions taken by groups. For instance, during protests or movements like the truck people. Also Indigenous groups in Canada may feel that the Canadian flag represents colonialism.

I didn’t know either, but when I was at the funeral home, they mentioned it to me there’s a local woman who does Stainglass art with ashes (in Yarmouth.)

Very beautiful. When my dad died and I found myself in charge of everything, I realized I did not want like an urn, so I used some of his ashes in a stained glass necklace.

I find it so horrifying! I will never not count my lucky stars that I bought in March 2020, as they now go for double at least of what I paid. Also I am really anti-car culture, so being able to walk and take transit was super important for me.

I think this was the right thing to do. I have been a voracious reader my whole life, and will often lose hours a day to books. Even in my darkest times, books have never failed to heal me, they have never let me down. I believe in the freedom to read, forever and ever amen.

As someone who works with immigrants and refugees and international students, I say new Canadian if they are like PR or becoming citizens. if they’re an international student, I would just call them that. If they became a citizen like 4+ years ago I no longer say new Canadian. Immigrant if needed.

I would buy the firm tofu then I would place it under a cast-iron pan for a while. Then I would make sure all the moisture is squeezed out and I would pan fry it to make it kind of crispy with like maybe some taco seasoning if you’re gonna use it in a salad Cut it into like small cubes.
