This is why no one likes you, AWS.

Coming into Vancouver, BC station right now with the Amtrak Cascades: β€œAs we arrive in Vancouver, you will notice that we will start and stop a few times. This is because the conductor will have to get off the train multiple times to manually throw the switches ahead.” It’s 2025 folks. 2025. 🀯🀯🀯

OpenTelemetry in Deno! Please try it out an let us know what you think. I think it's a game changer. Docs: docs.deno.com/runtime/fund...

Did some work on the url Rust crate the past two days and got it parsing a 400 character URL more than twice as fast (still have a few PRs not merged).

The next version of Deno will have a super fast JS/TS plugin API for the linter πŸŽ‰ Watch @lcas.dev write a lint rule to ban string literals in <60 seconds. This, plus many other goodies, to land next week with Deno 2.2.

Over the past few months, we've made several improvements to our documentation: πŸ—‚οΈ better organized examples πŸ“Έ video tutorials πŸ’» more documentation in API reference and much more β€” deno.com/blog/docs-up...

WinterTC is here πŸŽ‰ TC55 is a new Ecma Technical Committee for Web-interoperable Server Runtimes, originating from the existing W3C WinterCG group. This means the group is now able to publish standards, with the first effort being the Minimum Common API.

WinterCG is dead, long live WinterTC, now Ecma TC55! ecma-international.org/news/collabo...

In 2022, Igalia helped establish WinterCG, which aimed to establish interoperability across server-side runtimes, as well as with the web. Now, this group moves to Ecma, becoming WinterTC, with our own @andreubotella.com as co-chair alongside Deno's @lcas.dev www.igalia.com/2025/01/10/W...

Deno is committed to web standards - that's why we co-founded WinterCG two years ago. Today marks the next step in that journey: WinterCG moves to Ecma International as technical comittee 55 (TC55). Goodbye WinterCG, welcome WinterTC! deno.com/blog/wintertc

Some highlights from the new Facebook/Instagram/Threads content policy. These are all things that are banned in general, except when you are talking about gay or trans people.

I sent a CVD report to NCSC's CERT (the Dutch government CERT), and they are being wholly unhelpful. Do I know anyone that works on DigiD or other cyber security stuff at Rijksoverheid? Is there a report channel for DigiD directly that bypasses NCSC?
