I have a cost cutting suggestion for DOGE. Since Rs control both House & Senate and do whatever Trumps says, they serve no purpose. Send them home and cut off their pay until midterms. Trump can speak for them without them being present and cashing paychecks.

It's disturbing that all media, left, right, center, corporate, independent, love that Trump is very profitable for them. Competent & professional govt is boring and not great TV, but Trump and his chaos circus, with clowns, grifters, and criminals, is like a 24/7 reality show. Where do we turn?

The US political right has always tended to form cult followings behind charismatic leaders. Recently, that’s been the MAGA movement. Before that, the TEA Party movement. Earlier, there was the Contract with America movement, the so-called Moral Majority, the John Birch Society, and so on.

And another thing … growing a little weary of all the calls to resist, stay strong, fight for democracy, etc. What should the average person with a job and a family do? We voted, and some donated; it didn’t work.

What does it take to get the press to do their jobs? Where is the follow-up confronting Trump and his minion lackeys? Did we get a final head count on the number of cats and dogs the Haitians ate? How about post-birth abortions (i.e., murder) – do we have a count on how many of those occurred?
