That is one of the waves 🌊 Riding it can be pretty fucking exhausting because my body has kept score my entire life & it tells me every single day what the cost is. This is also why I’m still mostly in isolation right now. It is delicate for my sobriety during this particular wave.

One permanent change that comes from decades of opiate abuse: when you get clean, some things are changed forever… That feeling where you don’t want to die, but also just don’t want to be apart of the circus anymore… Disassociating a lot! Not wanting to show up. Feels like I’m almost dead inside.
