I read it as all of those units are auxiliary funded, meaning they don’t get state or tuition dollars so they generate their own through fees, rent and sales etc. they do have funds for emergencies but they also need to generate money for capital expenses and repairs. Just seems like a shell game

Isn’t during “basketball season”. It overlaps with other programs. There’s not a lot of games so you can’t survive just being a full time WNBA official. That stuff is solvable

Should start from scratch. Incentive working in the league. Get back to using G league officials and the best young college officials. Women have made it in the men’s game so they no longer need their own place. You need talent and you need it fast.

Officiating is something that shouldn’t be gendered. The NBA has lead on this. There are amazing women officials who work NBA games. They’d be the best WNBA officials, but it’s not their fault or problem.
It’s the system that’s set up historically for only women or guys who “don’t look the part”
