Of all the untrue things Trump has ever said this might be the most untrue.

Does this mean we all have to stop ending rants with “thanks for coming to my TED talk”?

The single best thing I read early in the pandemic was a tweet from someone who had done WFH with a spouse also WFH for years and they said each person does lunch on their own to avoid the “what should we have for dinner” discussion 2x per day.

When my husband got it, several people warned against taking it because of this. He did anyway, but I’m sure others would be persuaded

Also works with baby wake ups. 😩

“Rushed” makes it sound like an active action on their part. If it had said “were rushed” or “had to” or something like that would read the way you read it. The sigh was in your (and my) mind at reading that sentence 😊

We had it while on vacation visiting my family, and fortunately the baby had it/got over it mostly before I got it so they were able to watch her for large parts of the day so me and my husband could rest. But we still had to do all those great MOTN wake ups…and I’m not even back to work yet!

As a working mother of a 1 year old currently recovering, the framing of this suggests that this is an actual CHOICE working moms are making vs a necessary part of reality.

Two things can both be bad?

Ok fine. I meant not systemic. Most people were able to wake up on 1/1 and feel zero impact.

I’m actually agreeing with the tweet he QTed. Which…the whole point of it was that people worked to prevent the problem and that’s why it wasn’t a problem. Ie the same point you’re making.

I’m not sure that’s true. If it had been all the flights or a major percentage of the flights, etc. then I’d agree. My understanding of the post was that there were some things that fell through the cracks and so ya, left unmitigated it in fact was a problem. But most things were properly mitigated

I don’t think that’s why. I think it’s because the sheer scale of what was anticipated never happened. One offs (even if significant in their own rights) that didn’t affect most people’s lives don’t change that.

Is this in the VP mansion too? Would Fox prefer taxpayer money be used to replace it?

My baby was born right before Hanukkah last year so it was one of the first songs I started singing to her as a newborn. Sang it to her again a week or two ago and it was like a gut punch.

When I was in ~1st grade I was playing at a friend’s house and saw a small cactus in her room. I was so confident that no small child would have a *real* cactus that I palmed the whole thing. I have never been so wrong…

FWIW, if that was the intent, that’s even more offensive. Making a Christian biblical reference about the return of a Jewish hostage??

Also really makes it difficult for us to ask for the world not to dehumanize Jews when Israeli leadership literally admits to aiming to treat Gazans like animals. This very much ain’t it.

A key item was missing, the store allegedly had no pickles, we got something we didn’t order, and the replacement dip (which #BabyData is allergic to) was provided despite my refund request. Fail.
