Take advil now & take some with you. And grab some Gatorade packets (the kind you mix with a 16 oz of water) on the way to the park.

I earn 1 peanut butter M&M for every 100 words I write. I've got a Tupperware of them that I earned earlier waiting to be eaten, but I reserve the good stuff for real desperation. The hand-to-mouth/lots of chewing part is what matters for me, not so much what I'm eating.

HAHAHAHAH.... if that's the case, I'd have been done months ago. These are the final edits based on reviewer comments (textbook). It's not a TON, but it's not negligible, and I've been fighting them for a week now.

Spontaneous eruption into musical theatre songs, complete with choreography, can never be ruled out. Two party-sized bags of peanut butter M&Ms were earned and consumed in the revision of this book. Any more wacky ideas?? (2/2)

I kid you not, but I'd go through 25# flour, 15# sugar, and 2 of those 60 count boxes of eggs during holiday baking season (and another 30# sugar during canning season). I MISS my Costco badly each fall. But the meat? We'd get it and repackage for 2 ppl. SO worth it.

I think the problem would be figuring out how to safely stop it. You can't redirect it by hitting the rear wheel with your squad car the way you can with a vehicle, and you probably can't safely use the side of your car to sideswipe either.

COOL! This is a rabbit hole for another day, alas - I must go give a talk about the job market, edit another on lit reviews, finish revising a chapter, and re-index another today. And 2 more hours of clients.

No, but in terms of when it would be convenient to mobilize folks in under 24 hrs notice... I probably AM overthinking it, but opsec ...

It all seems a little too coordinated. Protests on the first weekend of the month, when most NG/reserve troops have their monthly drill & are already at muster sites with gear...

Realized talking to someone else, it's the 1st weekend of the month. Most of the guardsmen were probably at their monthly drill already. That makes for very smooth calling up with very little risk of breaching operational security. (And it means they were already getting paid for today anyway)
