I've only just recovered from Bernd the depressed German loaf yesterday! Great catchphrase, Bill.

And Horn/Jeczalik producing 'Cry'. I think of the production on I'm Not In Love as very early sampling, 48 tracks or whatever of different "aaaaaah"s being played on the mixing desk like chords

Yeah, as you say, the Stones aren't indie, but perhaps the Beatles and the Kinks are, although indie ≠ Britpop.

Probably anything by Sparks, Can, Bowie from Station to Station onwards. I was wondering about some of 10cc's more experimental stuff but they're probably closer to Trevor Horn/Art of Noise if anything. Mouldy Old Dough could be one of Blur's in between songs from Modern Life Is Rubbish.

A lot of people have mentioned that, and I've never played it! Will have a little go when I get home.

I very nearly went to uni there instead of Bradford. No regrets, I probably would've dropped out anyway, but kind of wish I had.

That was well worth the knee pain and slightly grazed hand. And now I'm off to find the Arthur Baker remix of Dragnet

This had better be good, I was walking along trying to get the Mixcloud app to work and tripped over a pothole

Nope, can't see him. Is he hiding in the cupboard?

Ah, forgot Morning Glory was 1995, so while it was in the charts when that Who album came out, it's unlikely they'd still be promoting it almost a year later. I'll keep looking!

1996 so past vinyl's peak, about to have lunch but if the greenish album on the left is Morning Glory we might be on to something

I've just tried sharpening the image with (ugh) an AI tool but don't know if it's any help.

I think I bought '7' at the same time too (I already owned 'Complete Madness' and 'The Rise And Fall') This was the first album I bought full price from a shop though.
