I am grateful that so many people found my open letter to Elon Musk moving and want to share it. Some well meaning people are just cutting and pasting it on their social media feeds. I would appreciate it if people would link to the version posted on @democracydocket.com instead. Thanks. Marc

Also if you feel strongly about Eric Adams, you should call your city councilmember to express that and ask for their position. You’d be surprised. Hochul’s stance is highly disappointing but it doesn’t come from nowhere. Press all your electeds. City elections are in 5 months. Ask candidates too.

Interesting list. Everyone but actual consumers.

Police officer killed after responding to a shooting at a central Pennsylvania hospital

Regardless of how much coverage it gets, Trump aiming to install a military command that places loyalty to him above loyalty to the constitution needs to be a much bigger story.

I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

The pediatric vaccine schedule doesn’t need to be “scrutinized.” It has saved the young lives of millions worldwide. It’s perfectly fine as it is. Far more burning and urgent health matters to attend to. We certainly don’t need to invent one to keep busy.

A feather in Trump’s cap.

This is in Project 2025.

I follow French politics a lot, as many of you know. Any effort for mass layoffs of public sector employees there would create such huge strikes and marches, the level of disruption and paralysis would be biblical.

Last Fall, the Washington Post allowed a right wing group to run a full page ad falsely attacking me for protecting voting rights. Today, Bezos' paper won't accept ads criticizing Elon Musk. Support pro-democracy media. www.democracydocket.com/me-subscribe...

Friends, May we never forget that while negotiations, statements, addresses and the rest of the (undoubtedly important) diplomacy track are happening, exhausted #Ukrainian men &women in military uniform are holding back evil on the frontlines. Without them, there would be no diplomacy track at all.

This shit doesn’t happen in France and I’ll tell you why: the rich went too far once and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in power fuck workers over, the French stop working. Don’t forget your real power Americans. They don’t let you have unions for a reason.

As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to “save” the country as they see fit

I’ve taken care of thousands of patients covered by Medicaid. If these patients lose access to their healthcare coverage, they will suffer & many will die. Dems must shine a floodlight on the massive harm this will cause people, many in red states. Feature the patient stories. Make it personal.

for pity’s sake, I am BEGGING university leaders to stop framing this issue in terms of what this will cost the university. people dont care! EXPLAIN WHAT THIS WILL COST THE PUBLIC: closed hospitals and clinics, skipped treatments, loss of access to experimental drugs, unemployment, recession

That’s not just a security guard, it’s a member of the Triple Canopy private paramilitary organization that merged with Erik Price’s notorious Blackwater group.

My 8th grade history teacher did this too. One of my classmates started crying. It has stuck with me my whole life

All the people who insist on keeping politics out of medicine are very quiet about how politicians are now trying to destroy medical schools. Maybe now they see even if you don’t do politics, politics will most definitely do you.

One Roberts clerk, one former Gorsuch clerk, and one future Gorsuch clerk. All working for DOGE to help Musk usurp the government. Like I wrote earlier today, the courts are not going to stop this.

Please remember something: if you had said a year ago that Trump would do even a fraction of these things, you would have been mocked, belittled, accused of “Trump derangement syndrome,” and dismissed by certain people. Identify those people and block and shun them.

8 February 1926 | A Jewish man named Walter Riess was born in Zagreb. On 4 July 1942 he was transported from Olomouc to the Theresienstadt ghetto. On 28 September 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz. He did not survive.

This is not a U.S. Marshal, Federal Protective Service, or any other federal law enforcement officer. This is a private security guard from Triple Canopy. He has no authority to block members of Congress who have oversight of the EPA from entering the building.

Not so brilliant.
