In a coup, at some point citizens look to the military to see which side they choose. At some point, Trump is going to set the military on US citizens, likely at protests, and that will be the defining moment in my opinion. Will they follow orders or will they resist, and then what?

They are closing social security offices. What is Musks end game with all this? It’s going to be wildly entertaining unpopular. If I were a Governor, and Musk came to my State, I would arrest and detain him and then fight it out in the courts long enough to let current lawsuits run their course.
