Very cool to see Morrisville getting in on the action. That's like, no man's land in the Research Triangle region. It's where the airport is! And even they organized a protest. Love it.

Yeah, I was pretty excited that my favorite Michael Shannon movie is also Michael Shannon's favorite Michael Shannon movie.

Nah, you're good. Byproduct of the times we find ourselves in. Respect to Padilla for showing up and doing his job, hope we can have every Democrat do at least this much.

oh no, I wasn't saying he shouldn't have gone, I'm saying it's wild that he expected to meet physical resistance for it, that it's a reasonable expectation at this point with this regime.

It's wild to me that, judging by his reactions, he went in there today reasonably certain that the response to his presence and attempt to ask questions would be a physical altercation and attempt to remove him like that.

No thank you, I'd rather keep my entire reason for employment and a career secure - if I'm not reading shit for other people and explaining to them what it says, what am I? Same thing for using AI to draft emails. I'm actually pretty good at drafting emails and am kind of proud of that!

Kind of wonder if he watched "Good Night and Good Luck" last night and was like, fuck it I'm going in.

My family arrangement was that we camped somewhere in the vicinity of a decent hotel. Dad and the kids slept in the tent at the campground, mom got a hotel room to herself, and we all reunited in the morning for hotel breakfast. Worked great!
