I'm going to try and give Lisa Murkowski as much grace in this moment as I am able. Her fear is valid. Krasnov is using the weapons he has created in ugly ways to beat the GOP into submission. But she's elected in. This is the gig, step up and do the work. See something, say something, do something.

I dunno, I feel like Harvard should have enough of the right people in its ranks that losing its tax exempt status shouldn't matter. They'll just game the IRS the same way Amazon and other mega corps do to pay less in taxes than the average middle-income citizen.

I wonder if we reveled too headily in the freedoms we fought for so long and so hard. Did we flaunt those freedoms too arrogantly in the faces of those who had (and still) opposed them? Is this their version of 'enough is enough'? Excusing nothing, merely trying to see where things went so wrong.

I've not seen the specifics of China's tariffs but if I were them, I would be sure to target tech. Krasnov deliberately excluded tech because it hurts too many of his new rich friends... which is exactly why I would target tech and proclaim clearly and loudly that it's because of Krasnov's actions.

I'm not sure if this fucked up administration is failing to see the opportunity for taking some heat off of them, and even possibly garner some support, by confirming the error and fixing it or if they're scared of creating a martyr and opening the litigation floodgates. Smells a lot like arrogance.

As with everything Krasnov has done thus far in his second term, he is squaring up the Supreme Court's ruling and saying "or what?" His strength lies in being able to do whatever he wants, surrounded by various protections, and so far nobody has bothered to seriously challenge that.
