Tonight Hamdan Ballal, one of the co-directors of Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, was violently attacked by settlers in his home village of Susya in the West Bank. He was then detained by IDF soldiers while injured. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

Al Jazeera Correspondent Hossam Shabat was killed by Israeli forces today in a targeted strike on is car. He was 23 years old. His final social media post reported fellow journalist Mohammed Mansour’s killing an hour earlier. ≈200 of our colleagues have now been killed in Gaza.

Terribly sad news: SAF media liason Lt Colonel Hassan Ibrahim & Cpt Emad Eldein were killed in an RSF drone strike on Khartoum’s presidential palace yesterday. Col. Hassan was a kind, vibrant man who loved #Sudan & kept us safe while reporting. Emad was in his 20s, just beginning life.
