Messing with Medicare is the ultimate FAFO. Our senior citizens don't play.

Man, that's the final straw for me. This long-time subscriber is done. So sad - the WaPo did some good work in the past.

I'll be at the Raleigh protest to support NC Supreme Court justice Allison Riggs. Nc cannot be the state that allows her opponent & the GOP to toss 60k legitimate votes and overturn an election.

Hey, I'm in your district too.

I think you are right about this. Whatever we're doing - boycotts, protests, calling reps, etc, it needs to be a sustained effort over many months/years.

I am looking forward to seeing that get organized. Surely it will take a lot of planning to support 11m people not showing up for work (that's the number required to significantly affect the billionaire class, or so I have read).

Also PAY ATTENTION to local races. Many towns & municipalities will have elections between now & the midterms. Even if you live in a red district, make sure you contact reps & show up for town halls and the like. Republicans do this 4x more often than progressives.

Follow @democracydocket for a weekly round up of all the lawsuits being filed against Trump & Co by democratic attorneys like Mark Elias. Voters did not put Dems in power, so it isn't fair to cry "save us!" now. If you don't like what you see, get busy donating, volunteering & protesting.

Republicans call/contact their Senators 4x more often than Dem voters do. If we aren't being listened to, maybe we aren't being seen enough. Patel will likely be confirmed, but call anyway - every day! - & show up for Town Halls and court appearances, etc. Do it over and over for the next 4 years.

WE have to stop them, not just AOC & Dems. Trump is taking 3 facist actions every day. We need to fight back w/3 actions every day. Here's mine: 1) Tell my senator to vote No on the SAVE act; 2) promote the Feb 17 50501 anti-Trump rallies; 3) send postcards to voters who need to register to vote.

I just skimmed the article, which seems to be about the federal government offering deferred resignations to federal workers. Did you mean to link to a different article?
