Had the first PC deaths in Shadowdark tonight, and I'm honestly just surprised it took this long. Things went south fast when they got surprised mid-combat by a hiding Roper that when shoved over a ledge took 2 PCs with it. New characters are cool tho and everyone's still excited for next session.

First real Shadowdark session of the year tonight went pretty well. They started exploring a new dungeon and took on an encounter I thought was much to high level for them, but with decent luck and good planing had very minor resource expenditure. Also they befriended a Goblin named Goob. He died.

I wish there was a commander bracket for only allowed 3 game changers but no restrictions on MLD, Combos, or infinite turns. Trying to fully optimize a deck and deciding what 3 game changers to play like a CanLander point spread seems really interesting.

EDH players are NOT dodging the cry baby allegations. No MLD? It's the great equalizer! Blood Moon punishes OG Duals and leaves Basics alone. Overall I think the pseudo-ban list will be a net positive for the format for me, Dockside and Time Vault unbans would be ELITE, it is kinda goofy ahh tho.
