“Just stay home” is not a public health strategy. Non disabled people were livid during stay at home orders. They found the idea of being forced to stay home unpalatable, yet they’re only too happy to demand the disabled do it for the rest of our lives. Clean air & masking make spaces accessible.

In Who Wants Normal?, I loved chatting to Jameela Jamil, Rosie Jones, Nikki Fox and more about dating and friendships. I wrote for @theipaper.com about one hidden aspect: how friends can go quiet if we’re going through health problems (and what might help). inews.co.uk/inews-lifest...

New: A summary of a series of podcasts on #longCOVID. Includes comments from me. It’s important to stress that although primary disease severity is a risk factor for LC, bc of the sheer numbers involved, most people with LC only had a mild initial illness. www.healthed.com.au/clinical_art...

Leading long COVID researcher fears it could become a national epidemic. Dr. David Putrino: “Your risk of going on to develop long COVID increases slightly with each infection, even if you recover just fine from the last infection” #LongCOVID #COVIDisNotOVER ny1.com/nyc/all-boro...

Watch Dr Joffe. No holds barred. ‘Twas perfect! 👌

“Denying the Seriousness of Long COVID Is Dangerous for Me – and You” On Long COVID Awareness Day, pleased to publish this piece for Zeteo from @juliadoubleday.bsky.social

This #LongCovidAwarenessDay I’m reflecting on how many people have been let down by governments, public health & medical establishments How Covid has been downplayed, airborne spread ignored & vaxx and relax strategies pushed for the sake of capitalism How many have Long Covid because of this? 🧵

This is one of the best articles I’ve seen on the effects of King Covid. There's no need for us to prove our illness is real anymore. Its all about the money :( cheaper and easier to ignore us. Thank you for this, such bravery from those willing to speak up.

Today, 15 March, 2025, is #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay It’s a day to recognise the millions of people affected, advocate for research and prevention, and raise awareness for better care and recovery. 💙 #LongCOVID #COVIDisNotOVER

The wonder of Voyager: This is the most beautiful thread I’ve read in a long time.

"Did you know? Every #COVID reinfection puts you at risk of developing #longCOVID. If you already have longCOVID, a new infection could cause more health issues and make you feel worse." #LongCovidAwarenessDay #March15 www.longcovidawareness.life

A tumultuous 24-ish hours since our preprint was released yesterday. I mentioned that this was a fraught issue and I genuinely do understand that people have mixed feelings about the work. I wanted to take some time to respond to some of the concerns and comments that have 1/

Seeing people get up to nonsense like this - like not to get all corny, but honest to God - reminds me that people are worth fighting for lmao.

The evidence linking long Covid with viral persistence is growing - and there are several trials underway. Treatment may be needed for months, not weeks 😢😬 www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...

COVID deaths in aged care are now double what they were in the peak of the pandemic. hellocare.com.au/covid-19-dea... Does anybody CARE? If not, why not? This is shameful. #auspol

Dianna @physicsgirl keeps showing us that there is hope for the millions of people suffering out there after infections. To everyone affected by #LongCovid and #MECFS, recovery can be slow, but it is possible! Don't give up! ❤️‍🩹

I paid close attention to AJ Leonardi in the other place. Right from the get go he hammered on about T cell damage. So many people tried to discredit him (looking at you Zeynap). But I believe his observations have substance. #ImmunityLost Great read from @thetyee.ca thetyee.ca/Analysis/202...

Difficult to fathom how it is possible that the person who said all this didn't enjoy Bishop Budde's sermon. 🤷‍♀️ #SarahCooper2020

Could I please urge you to email politicians+journalists+news/media outlets with data on BlueSky & its usage & get them to establish accounts here? Just pick 1, or 10, but please do so The politicians and media outlets posting on Xitter are what's keeping so many Aussies on there - get them here

👏👏👏

“I don’t consider myself COVID cautious. I consider myself COVID competent,” Zebrowski said. “Cautious would imply that I have an unreasonable fear of something. I do not have an unreasonable fear of this disease.” Nailed it 🔥
