It wasn't too bad. The Moebius is a little longer than planned to keep the colours stacking. It was like the colourway was designed for pooling. Thanks 😊 for the kind words!

It was one of the samples for the Garden Gate KAL. Below is the traditional lace version. Knit with Malabrigo Lace.

There are multiple colours of beads. There are flowers, leaves, bumblebees and butterflies. COVID be Damned indeed.

When COVID hit and we were all in lockdown I decided to create the happiest piece of knitting my mind could invent. I picked the best colour laceweight yarn from my stash and started knitting. I invited anyone on Ravelry interested to join me - no charge. As a bit of "up yours" to our situation πŸ˜‚

No worries - I have added the alternate text to the comments section. I couldn't find it either! It explains why it kept glitching out while I was writing. πŸ˜„

Alternate text cont - the center of the shawl has been shaped with short-row lace wedges. The wide intricate border contains both lace knitting and knitted lace. The delicate lace edging is a beautiful open point lace edging.

Alternate Text - Video image of an off white hand knit circular lace shawl draped over a railing. Half of the shawl is gathered up on the left hand edge of the railing, the other half is moving in the gentle breezes. All of the lace patterns in the shawl are classic Shetland lace.

I did write an alternative text for the video, did it not work? I am making breakfast right now but I will a plain text here after that is done!

I have a cupboard. If I remember what I wanted clearly enough, it is current, even if it is a few years old. It took me 7 years to knit a sweater for myself. Working for a living, interferes with personal knits all the time! This dress project is 2 years old. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

That sounds very familiar. I quite often have to reverse engineer a project too!

Admitting my age here. Until 10-15 years there was only a m1, no right no left. I have tried using the m1r and m1l as appropriate, then compared the two gussets. At a casual glance I could not see an appreciable difference so I use a plain m1 most of the time. I also love an afterthought thumb.

I count about 28 - 36 wip's - if I include the design ideas I am fooling with. Ummm... What's a bit of knitting between finishing πŸ˜‚

We are always too quick to see our mistakes, and slow to acknowledge our successes. You worked a stranded hat, not in your comfort zone! That's a big win!

A modified raglan might work For example: raglan shaping worked into a saddle shoulder, but that also means reworking the whole shoulder/ neck area. Raglans are not generally good for broad shoulders. Modified drop shoulders give you extra room but are not as neat as raglans.

Very nice range. Makes my fingers itch.
