Incredible article. I'm glad not everyone seems to have lost their fucking minds & pretends any of this abhorrent behaviour is acceptable.
Thank you for sharing, Paul.

Looks really nice! Had to do a double take when I was clicking through the images when suddenly a bound and gagged "hostage" showed up ππ

You should consider putting those character creation steps on a business card :D!

I wish #gamedev would include proper sunsetting plans, despite (in spite of!) those not making any money.
It's the right thing to do for those players who found their favourite game - and the devs who spent years of their lives #crafting it.

SW:Hunters had its problems (downright dreadful monetization) but passionate folks worked hard to make the core an experience worth enjoying.

At least two games I have worked on for several years of my life have completely disappeared in less than 12 months after launch. And if you consider the huge teams needed to make it ship in the first place, the amount of wasted time and effort can be measured in decades.

Wasn't aware I liked watching someone else cycle, but apparently I do! Thanks for putting this together, was fun watching you drive about & those views must have been great in person. Hopefully you didn't catch too much of a tan π

Maybe it should be an option that you can opt-out of if you feel like you're up for the real deal? I know that for brand new players who have no clue about the basics, its better to learn those in a space where they don't get obliterated. But I sympathize that it feels annoying for experienced folks
