Everytime I think about it (and the expansion FR), it moves up my top 10 games of all time list, and it's VERY nearly at Number 1.

Don't think I've ever really enjoyed a demo for a game outside of it being just the first part, like the recent Another Code demo. Some have actively turned me off! The Blue Dragon demo for 360 comes to mind.
