Yup, at least for Vscode. It requires an account but otherwise free and learns from your own code base, which is nice.

Depends for what I guess, I'm using Codeium for coding, using the free version and I'm quite happy with it so far.

It's actually even more strict than conda, I had issues with an environment because pixi complained about incompatibilies of dependencies while conda just did it...

I also use uv even for just pip installing things but way faster π

It is day and night yes, really crazy how more optimized it is.
I still use conda for packages available on conda-forge and others, but for everything pip, I only use uv now.
