Openlijke fraude en coi, illegaal machtsmisbruik, benoemde ambtenaren wegpesten, negeren van rechterlijke macht. Wat nog moet gebeuren is dat hij een paard of eerder zijn golfkarretje tot senator benoemt. Dat is historisch onjuist maar we leven met nu eenmaal met alternative facts.

De Amerikaanse farmer gaat het voelen, 25% tarief op potash nodig als fertilizer, daarnaast China die tarieven op zowat alle landbouwproducten oplegt. Als Canada en Mexico dit ook doen dan is het afgelopem. In 2017 gebruikte Trump 92% van de tariefopbrengsten om farmers overeind te houden.

De grondstoffen effectief delven gaat nog jaren duren. De opbouw van Europese militaire capaciteit eveneens. Wat kan er niet allemaal veranderen over een paar jaar. In de tussentijd kan de VS military wel een Europese operatie ondersteunen (command, logistics), iets wat onmiddellijk kan gebeuren.

De federal courts hebben geen eigen politie en hangen af van DOJ. Als DOJ beslist een vonnis niet uit te voeren, dan gebeurt er niks. Geen stok achter de deur.

Ik denk dat hij bedoelt dat een federal judge de DOJ niet kan verplichten vonissen te uit te voeren en dat kan kloppen. Normaal gezien gebeurt dit, maar het hangt in deze af van Pam Bondi. Als er geen gevolg gegeven wordt aan vonissen dan zijn de federal courts de facto toothless tigers.

Ik had graag eens een correcte vergelijking gehad tussen landen. Men vergelijkt met Nederland, waar de pensioenen niet door de overheid beheerd worden, natuurlijk dat het overheidsbeslag dan lager uitvalt. Dito met de VS omtrent health care.
