Didn't Israel bomb Iran's civilians first? Among a hell of a lot of civilians from other places, of course...

They're welcome to try. I'm sure Victoria would be happy to show him the door. Again.

If. Is this really what "our" ABC is reduced to? Hypothetical fantasies?

It has been so long since I watched fta TV (including the news) that my television has forgotten all the channels. I can't remember how to reprogram them, so I guess that's it for ever getting my news from the TV again.

They are beautiful birds and have the most glorious song. I have one that visits occasionally, it's a small joy when he does

Why would we "inevitably" be drawn into a US/China spat?

How much of that I'd intended to be public housing?

Why "should" he go to an event he doesn't want to go to though? Unless he's being paid to go, there's no should.

Coalition ready to pounce? Really? I wouldn't have thought they were ready to even go out in public yet.
comment in response to

If the Coalition wants to continue down the road to complete irrelevance, I see no reason to stop them. They have offered nothing to Australia's benefit for decades.

Of course we have a f***ing alternative! We could NOT embrace AI and continue using actual intelligence instead. It's a choice.

It'd be nice if he took his own advice too.

I don't think it matters much what line Albanese treads. Trump is so unstable there's no foreseeing how he will act on the day. Or the day after the meeting.

What is the point of these articles? I don't f***ing CARE about your petty issues. Is this a news service or the Readers Digest?

His only friend is himself. America is no longer a reliable ally or trading partner. It's time to look elsewhere.

I like the suggestion that most Australians would be happy to welcome a business owned by one of the most despised men in the world into their area. Can't see it, myself.

You couldn't have paid me to go through that. Bugger education, try anaesthesia.

I wouldn't. He's done nothing to deserve any particular respect.

Unfortunately, it seems that Labor is owned by the miners too. So while there was definitely good news in the election results, it's not all good.

I have no issues with people driving 4 wheel drives if they actually use them. But those enormous monstrosities in suburban areas, without a speck of dust on them anywhere, taking up 1 1/2 parking spots...nup. So many issues.

They're so pretty. I had one in my garden through summer busily attending to my tomato plants. It made me stupidly happy every time I went out and there it was, busily buzzing around

Nah, they'll kiss and make up in a bit. (Probably Angus will stab Sussssan in the back with a new coalition deal ready to go in about a year and a half). They all know they're irrelevant without each other.

Counterpoint - some of us literally cannot pick up the pace. So either go round or suck it up. Either way, take a breath and deal with the fact that not everything is about you.
