Here's what the Bert's Books team are reading this week! Bert: Everybody Knows - Jordan Harper Michael: The Frozen People - Elly Griffiths Pedro: Will and Testament - Vigdis Hjorth Sally: Project Hail Mary - Andy Weir Which one takes your fancy? - Michael

Time for a bit of reality - a thread. Sales in the shop are doing well, but we're reliant on sales on the website to help pay the bills. The website is reliant on social media, particularly twitter. Since September, we've seen a big decline in people seeing our tweets.

Just finished reading this - such a wonderful book. It drew me in from the first page and I couldn't put it down. So many stories brilliantly woven together. Loved it!

Reading this beauty in the library with a book club this week. We're all loving it, and it's sparking some very interesting discussions - everything a lunchtime book group in a primary school should do 🙂

Alfie Hewett has done the double, winning the singles too in Melbourne. What an achievement to take both titles in the Australian Open. 2nd AO title and 10th Grand Slam of his career.

This beautifully observed book has been my companion this weekend. Such a wonderful read from a fabulous writer. Hugely inspiring to me as I put my fingers to the keyboard to tap out my own short stories.

Happy birthday to us! 130 today and still going strong 💪 A big thank you to everyone who is celebrating with us ♥️

Reading this for a change of pace. I first met Stephanie Plum after hearing Peter Snow describe her as his 'guilty pleasure' on 'My Life in Books' years ago. They should bring that programme back - different to Between The Covers in that they weren't there to plug their own books!

Thoroughly enjoying my new year read. It's like a stroll through the Tuscan countryside and makes me want to plan my next flight-free holiday. What's even better, I can almost taste the food - guess we'll be cooking something Italian for dinner 🙂

Couldn't agree more.

School Christmas is certainly busy at the moment, but I enjoyed writing this serial for The People's Friend. All the fun and excitement, the inevitable mishaps, and the prospect of a heart-warming performance at the end. Question is, can Monica and her team pull it off?
