While many areas impacted by the Eaton, Bridge and other fires are still closed, poodle-dog is present in previous burn scars.
So it's good to get acquainted with the plant now, and save yourself from a world of itch later.

You might be wondering: How are there private land sales in a National Park??
Pockets of private land were grandfathered in when the area was designated a National Monument in the 1930s. (It didn't become a National Park until 1994).
