I would unironically pay to see this movie.

I'm literally right next to you on the couch. And I saw you yesterday.

Yeah, you're right. His word salad commentary didn't undermine his credibility at all either.

I grew up surrounded by obnoxious Patriots fans who were ready to kiss the ground that Brady walked on even if it was smeared with shit. I don't care about the sport tbh, but BOY do I love to see a rich man's ego crushed. Go birds lmaooo

Also, P.S. The more I've sat with Kendrick's performance, the more I really appreciate the choices he made, subtle or not. (Moreover, it seems like it did PLENTY to upset and confuse conservative pundits; I shouldn't have doubted the level of ignorant rage they're capable of π)

Hi, after sitting with this a bit longer, I just wanted to let you know that you really made an impact on how I perceived and interpeted this whole situation. I really want to thank you again for being patient with my knee-jerk defensiveness. Gave me some hope for positive internet discourse πβοΈ

That wasn't a criticism of you, to be clear, it was a warning for other people not to try reasoning with him. It just isn't worth it. Stirring the pot is all they're interested in, not a real conversation.

"Say no to hate" says Snoop Dogg, the billionaire performing for and celebrating a fascist that has spent the past decade fueling hatred....

Right back at you, thank you for being understanding π It's hard to be when we live in such a never-ending shit storm. I honestly admire anyone who can manage to think rationally and articulate themselves well under these circumstances. Thanks for the respectful discourse βοΈ

I wasn't thinking rationally, I was reacting emotionally.

I'm not disagreeing. I'm saying I fell for the trap, and you're right. Rationally, I do know that it is misplaced to feel artists owe us anything.

Yeah, totally, I'm not arguing with you. I admittedly said my hope was foolish. I felt the same way about the spectacle of the Grammys last weekend, and I should've learned my lesson then and a million times before that.
(Not about Kendrick at the Grammys specifically, just artists in general)

TouchΓ©. You're absolutely not wrong. My desire for it to be "more" is probably selfish, but its coming from a place of feeling like we've been screaming into a void asking for change. "They ignore all of our voices, maybe they'll hear Kendrick," was my foolish wish.

That's giving white grandpas a lot of credit imo. I do not have faith in them sitting and making these connections π

Who, Snoop? Inheritance? I dont understand what you're saying.

The only reason I wanted more was that so much of the statements and subversion were to subtle for the average American to even pick up on... I was hoping he wouldn't let people ignore what's happening in the country now and shine a big bright spotlight on it. But that's not his job I guess π€·ββοΈ

She advocated for trans rights during the election more than any actual candidate did (which was zero) lol

My uncle said he subscribes to 3 separate AI applications during Thanksgiving dinner, and I swear I almost choked on mashed potatoes.
