#64: Void Stranger
A brutally hard sokoban-style puzzle game. The story is sweet, and the puzzles are good, but I think the game demands too much of the player. The second route got so hard it stopped being fun about halfway in, and really drained my desire to see more of the game.

#63: Sukaraiti
A story of a robot living in a frozen world with a single job: help the remaining humans find peace so they can die. This reminded me a lot of Rojica to Rakkasei, one of my favorite mangas from last year, so it was right up my alley. Short, sweet, and deeply beautiful.

#62: Superliminal
A half-way point between Portal and the Stanley Parable. I wish there was more to this. 2 hours is pretty short, but I mostly like what's here. A few puzzles were more annoying than fun, but I'd play a 15-20 hour version of this.

#61: Don't Torture a Duckling
I liked this more the longer it went on, but I'm not sure it ever really lived up to its full potential. But it does have one of the best dummy kills I've ever seen.
I can't believe they killed Donald Duck for this.

#60: Symphogear G
This feels like a slight upgrade from season 1, but not a big one. I prefer this season's plot, but I hate the villain. I miss season 1's school life episodes, but I prefer G's action scenes. It feels like a bit of a mess, but it's a really fun mess.

#59: Resident Evil (2002)
It's interesting to experience this after Silent Hill 2, and Fatal Frame, since they were obviously inspired by this. I think I prefer Silent Hill 2, but this is undeniably an amazingly well-made game.
I wish they'd kept the original script. No Jill Sandwich here.

#58: Cardcaptor Sakura: The Movie
A fun, cute little filler movie. As far as mid-show filler movie goes, this is pretty good. The increased budget is noticable and I think is well implemented with some really nice animation and really pretty backgrounds.

A few reasons! I love that the NPCs all have learnable schedules. It helps give them all unique identities.
Also, I think MM has the strongest selection of dungeons in the series.
The game also just has a lot of really strong emotional moments (Anju/Kafei, Captain Keeta, etc.)

It feels like they had ideas for a bunch of magic cards and then had to work backwards to assign them to a Final Fantasy character.
If someone read me these card texts and then asked me to guess the Final Fantasy character, I don't think I could get any of them without the ability names.

#57: Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
I once again wrote way too much to shorten my review down for Bluesky. Suffice to say, I really loved this movie. It's exactly what I needed tonight.

#56: Acro Trip
I'd say this is a wholesome version of Mahoako, but the Acro Trip manga actually came first. This is the closest we'll ever come to an anime starring Mid-boss from Disgaea. The ending leaves a lot of questions unanswered, but I still had a lot of fun watching this.

The age of thirty-six is in demand, and everyone wants to go to the Oinky Doink Cafe!

#55: Akiba Maid War
What does it mean to be a maid? What is the essence of moe?
A yakuza story overlaid on a maid cafe comedy. This plays its story as straight as possible, with tons of references to yakuza movies and media. I'll be thinking about Ranko for a long time.

I just miss the days of direct to VHS sequels. You knew exactly what you were getting, and they never tried to pretend to be more than they were.
Nobody had high expectations for Cinderella 3, but it's there if you want it.

Such a frustrating movie. I saw this in theaters and remember just being generally bored with it. I liked the first Frozen a decent amount (but prefer Tangled), but this was just nothing.

"What if Spy x Family was incredibly hateful?"
This is the most offensive movie I've ever seen. If you are any sort of minority at all, this movie hates you. Everyone involed with making this should be ashamed.

#53: Through my Window
"She's a freak! Yeah! Live your freak shit, girl!" - my girlfriend
A much better movie than I expected. This is the first romance movie I've seen in a while where I didn't feel a constant sinking depression for the main girl's situation.

#52: After
In Monster Hunter Tri's online chat, the word "after" was censored because it is the German word for "anus". And, like a German anus, this movie stinks.
This is a PSA to warn people against reading Wuthering Heights.

#51: Umineko When They Cry - Questions Arcs
By far the best visual novel I've read so far. Yes, chapter 1 has a higher word count than Return of the King, but it's worth it. I refuse to spoil any part of this, but I think everyone should read it.
Beatrice did nothing wrong.

#50: The Mummy Returns
The movie that gave us The Rock as an actor - an unforgivable sin.
Weaker than the first one, but still a lot of fun. A lot of the best moments were retreads of the first movie. This also falls into the sequel trap of introducing an annoying child character.

Apparently the mangaka was given a 2 week notice for the manga being canceled, so she just rushed the last few chapters across the finish line. You hate to see it.

#49: The Two of Them Are Pretty Much Like This
I read this whole thing in one day. A soft, fluffy yuri that still manages to feel real. I love the characters, especially Wako, and it's always nice seeing a yuri manga show support for trans women without making them a tragic figure.
