My dad's been in hospital for a couple of weeks, and this cat normally spends her evenings gazing lovingly at him. This is what she's doing instead.

This is ideally how my friendships operate. People send me pigeons, and I send them their Designated Animal.

No, and it's important that the sacrifices are deserving.

He disgusts me on a moral level, a spiritual level, a political level, and increasingly a physical level. The perfect example of the modern politician, a man whose only true beliefs are small and cruel and who justifies them by manufacturing public support.

I've been past Swavesey on the bus after rain. The fen hungers.

Honestly I think the only thing that will save that man's dignity or moral life at this point is letting the fens claim him.

They're still in heavy circulation at the public library.

People filming tiktoks/insta reels harassing disbled library users is something that happens far more than it should. The amount of times is should happen is "never".

He's absolutely fine in his flock, to be honest. Quite a lot of people visit the area with food for the ducks that he then muscles in on!

Some elder pigeons did in fact work out how bags work. He just... didn't. Maybe that's the key to his long life.

It was always going to happen, we've been aiming to move away for a while. The flock has been probably the greatest constant other than my partner for the seven and a half years I've lived here though!

The rare 10% of times he climbs onto the bag and smacks his face into it and happens to hit the opening.

He neither knows nor cares that he's gone beyond the average lifespan of a feral pigeon. He barely understands "bag has an opening that you need to get into to obtain food". He only knows "food".

I might visit once or twice a year if I'm dropping by for friends/events.

The state and the hospital made a choice to experiment on a black woman, and didn’t take into account her wishes or the wishes of her next of kin.
Regardless of the outcome, the lack of consent is why we’re enraged.

28 Days Later was one of my most formative horror films, and 28 Weeks Later annoyed me by getting bits of London that I know very well wrong (and by being the film it is) so I am on the fence about seeing 28 Years Later.

Apparently my dad and his university friends spent a lot of pub time trying to do architectural plans of Gormenghast Castle. I think it left a lasting effect on him.
