I looked all over our property for any more kittens or mommy, to no avail. We had no idea how she came to be in our closed garage, but my husband always says she was lead to us by our old cat, Buster, who we had just had to let go only a few days before.

Turned out, she was about 3 weeks old & not fully weaned by her absent mother. She didn't know what to do about canned food, so I had to smear some on her teensy teeth & she began to get the idea.

So sorry! π₯Ί When Annie started failing, we also noticed a weird "chemical" scent coming from her. The vet said it was a by-product of her kidneys shutting down. It can happen so fast.
