That's been my experience with underglaze as well. Just can't trust it. Have you tried Stoke & Coat?

It's so much fun! D4's and D8's are pretty easy. D6's are a little more challenging. D10's and D12's are pretty finicky. D20's are best done with some sort of mold!

I didn't know it would peel off! I love water etching, but the studio I fire at doesn't allow wax. Thanks for the tip!
