I’ve been wondering about this one and if I’d be interested or not. After reading your review, you’ve got me intrigued.

Did you read Intimacies by her? I meant to and now that a second book is out, I was wondering if someone who had read both preferred one over the other.

I love Netgalley. As much as my tbr will always be longer than I can get to or manage, I love hearing about and receiving ARCs. No streaks or reading goals. Ive kept a handwritten journal of what I do read for 12 yrs and I don’t use any type of digital tool. Just easier and more low-key.

I’ve had several library holds come in lately that I’ve been anticipating and I’ve just kind of thought, meh , after starting them. I just put it down and have gone on to the next one. Frustrating, especially when coming from a book I just finished and loved.

How is it?

I’d say, no matter what year it is, put it down if it doesn’t give you joy. Too many great ones waiting in the wings.

Just keep trying something new, I was 150 pgs into a book many loved and it just wasn’t doing it for me. Started another, really enjoyed it. Before starting its sequel, I started a library book that came in. It was mediocre & I probably could’ve enjoyed it, but I set it aside & went for the sequel.
