This is egregious corruption and self-dealing wapo.st/3DbAep6

Watching the leaders of my nation bully a fellow head of state in the people’s house - while touting diplomacy as the solution - is deeply embarrassing. And dangerous. I wonder if our global status will ever recover from this era.

Funny how during ICE raids in sanctuary cities like Newark & Chicago, they name the people arrested but never the businesses hiring them. Being undocumented is a crime, but exploiting undocumented workers? Apparently, it’s just business as usual. Curious, isn’t it?

I watched “John Wick” last night, for the first time. (I’m nothing if not current.) Frankly, I think his response was measured and reasonable.

The idea that a president can issue an executive order that overrides Congress, while it may be appealing to everyone who wants TikTok back and agrees that the TikTok ban is a first amendment violation, is actually illegal dictator shit

Welp, I’m glad that threat to national security is solved. /s #tiktokban

Hell yeah

Because of course.

Just saying ‘breaking news’ doesn’t make you a reporter or journalist. As TikTok fades, it’s clear: the line between credible reporting and someone reading CNN headlines in a suit is blurred. Media literacy isn’t optional—know the difference.

Just a reminder of some of the context around the TikTok ban: In 2020, Trump tried to ban it via executive order a couple months after K-pop fans used it to organize fake signups to Trump’s Tulsa rally, which led him to publicly overestimate how large the crowd size would be.

And so it begins … Dear Leader will save us. (And Zuckenmusk). 🤨

Walmart, the largest private employer in the United States, will curb some diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts. It’s the latest company to backtrack on diversity initiatives in the face of right-wing pressure.

Heads up, fellow travelers: Charlotte airport service workers - plane cleaners, wheelchair pushers, etc. - are on strike today for better wages (which they deserve). CLT is a major @americanairlines hub.

We did it, Y'all! Lake County went on the board at 5 p.m. tonight, meaning we got a fresh 24 hour window to add (at least) one more county. So which county is going to be next? We've only got 32 counties to go. But as the rules now say, if we don't get a new county by 5 p.m. tomorrow, game over.

Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin, whose party hasn’t lost a statewide race since his tenure began in 2011, announced on Tuesday that he’s running to lead the Democratic National Committee.

The rich shouldn’t fear taxes. They should think of them as an insurance policy vs hungry mobs with pitchforks.

Never forget this: The GOP’s nonsensical culture war is meant to distract you from corporate corruption, worker oppression, and staggering wealth inequality.

How do we, as Democrats, manufacture 535 clones of Amy Klobuchar. Alternatively, how do we get Republicans to nominate more people like Royce White
