FIRST LOOK - “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” short film. Inspired by Aesop's fable, our tale holds a darker twist for the boy and the wolves he sees. The narrative is experimental and as it repeats, we go deeper into the story learning more about who the true wolves are in the world. #filmsky

So honored to be part of the American Photography awards - AP40. What a gorgeous book and collection of images. #photosky

Photos from my series “Calypso”. The first image, “Calypso Comes to Shore” won the Julia Margaret Cameron Award 24 for non-pro, storytelling category. I’ve been changing up my color pallet lately in favor of fewer hues per image rather complimenting or contrasting. More to come in “Wolf”.

I twirl baton. (Go ahead, make fun of me. Then try it. 😉)

This is still mostly an updates account, but in light of everything going on in the world, I've been thinking a lot about stories. Why write books about compassion and kindness and how we're all connected if reality doesn't seem to reflect that? I've really struggled with this. Some of you 1/?

I was thrilled to be included in Felicity Gee’s book “Magic Realism, World Cinema, and the Avant-Garde”, Routledge, 2021. Even when heading into a project based on a well-known fable I try to find ways to create new metaphors - blending a personal perspective. #filmsky #filmbookclub

Ever wonder what snow in the swamp would look like? This is 5 miles into the Louisiana swamps in the Atchafalaya basin... it's unreal... having lived down there for the first 28 years of my life, we never saw anything like this. Smashed records. Curtesy of Garrett Roberts.

Photo editing all day. Then scrapped my work and started over at 4pm. Three hours later, had what I wanted. But then made another change. 😄 And maybe one more because I forgot something… Love the process though! #photosky

From the department of lost film projects. (Maybe 2010…) it’s thought-provoking to come across photos from stories that burned bright for a fleeting moment then went on their way. Never finished, never shared, forever a bit of private inspiration. #filmsky

Hair and make-up tests this past weekend for “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”. That title might change. My version focuses on his mother. And lying. And the importance of truth. Seen here - JSterling Hurley working his magic on Annemarie Hagenaars. We start shorting this weekend. #filmsky
