Beloved, do not be fooled. When Evangelicals and their false prophets and teachers label joy, liberation, and love "bad fruit" and label suffering, cruelty, selfishness, and greed, "tribulations and hardships on the way to eternal reward" they are merely engaged in spiritual gaslighting.

Some commentary: false prophets and false teachers are not actually that hard to recognize, their teaching and work leads to misery and suffering and that becomes clear over time. Evangelicalism tries to work around this by arbitrarily designating joyful and good things as "bad fruit".

Daughter Zion lost all her glory.
Her officials are like deer that can’t find pasture.
They have gone away, frail, before the hunter.

Her adversaries have become rulers; her enemies relax.
Certainly the Lord caused her grief because of her many wrong acts.
Her children have gone away, captive before the enemy.

Zion’s roads are in mourning; no one comes to the festivals.
All her gates are deserted. Her priests are groaning,
her young women grieving. She is bitter.

Judah was exiled after suffering and hard service.
She lives among the nations; she finds no rest.
All who were chasing her caught her—
right in the middle of her distress.

She weeps bitterly in the night, her tears on her cheek.
None of her lovers comfort her.
All her friends lied to her; they have become her enemies.
(Lamentations 1:2 CEB)

Instead, we speak God’s wisdom that God decided on beforehand prior to the Ages, which has been shrouded in mystery, for our praise, which none of the leaders of this Age understood. (1 Corinthians 2:6-8 LIT) #letthereaderunderstand
