I live in Germany. This is the way. My 12 year old loves to wear socks with sandals, completely unironically.

The place we stayed in Italy recently had no tea towels or hand towels so I bought two tea towels (I would have got one as a souvenir anyway). 3.90€ each so I wasn't expecting much but they turned out to be huge (60x90cm) and really good quality.

Like after the inauguration when one of them yelled at the producers "sag Mal, wie lang müssen wir bei diesem Scheiß bleiben?!"

I just saw the news - the storm hit the north of Munich!!! We're right in the south - the last suburb before Kreis München - and nothing!

Huh, it loaded on my tablet (and even picked up where I had read to on my phone) but I still can't open it on my phone.

I'm in Munich and the storm didn't eventuate but it has been sooooo humid. Drizzling and 19° today.

We had a Gregory's street map of the Sydney and Blue Mountains area. Mum would drive and my sister or I would tell her where to turn. We lived in a rural area ~400km west of Sydney so it was always such a stressful but exciting event!

My husband still laughs about me waking up one night, turning on the bedside lamp, and looking for the fluffy kittens I had just been dreaming about. It was SO REAL AND SO GOOD

I love places like that. We haven't made it to Spain yet but travel to Italy quite a bit. Some of the best meals we've had were at a trattoria in Trieste - it felt like a grandparent's dining room. They loved on our kids (just brought them fruit and garlic bread) and served tasty, wholesome meals.

Oooh I will see if my library offers that. I live in Germany and pay a 20€ annual fee for my card (the kids' are free) but I'm saving so much on books!!

Um... I'm an Australian whose sole experience of the US is LAX at 6am en route to Canada. Even *I* know that the US has a hurricane season.

I had a student yesterday ask me how to reference the Google AI summary as a source for their assignment. They were treated to an explanation of why that's not a reliable source. I keep trying to explain that the process of learning *is* the goal as far as I'm concerned... Teens love a shortcut 🤷🏻♂️

I'm a teacher and get the shot every year. My daughter has a chronic illness and a number of my students are medically vulnerable as well... and I would much rather not get the flu myself!

We joked that it was a toddler sized fridge because A wasn't even 2 when we moved here. She would just raid it for strawberries or apples 🤣

It was a challenge. Luckily we lived a block away from a supermarket so shopping frequently wasn't an issue. The first Christmas we had to use boxes on the balcony (it was freezing out) to store extra food.

We were in a furnished apartment for the first three years - tiiiny kitchen with only a bar sized fridge!!
