Rey watched in abject horror as it reared its ugly head, its predator’s gaze, bright and sinister, zoning in on her in the darkness.

Too late she realised the limbs weren’t just righting themselves from the damage incurred but were in fact shifting.
Large hands became sharp claws. Legs thickened to the likeness of tree trunks matted with fur repositioned themselves, the monster finally freed with a deafening roar.

Rey knew this would be the opportune time to haul ass and run, but due to either fear or fascination, or both, she remained glued to the spot.
Two mangled arms emerged, cracking and regenerating at a rapid pace, followed by a large clawed foot.

Dust particles fill the space as chunks of rocks and limestone fall and tumble along the cave floor.

Rey’s feet kick out wildly trying to land anywhere on the irrational behemoth holding her mid air. But before she can even register any pain from his grip, a blinding green light bursts between them sending the asshole flying across the corridor and into the opposite wall.

Rey clenched her fists, resisting the urge to smack him across the stone corridor, but without her core magic to aid her and given his sheer size and strength, she knew he’d eventually overpower her.
