Starting to think about my March Madness reading competition with @noveleffect.bsky.social Does anyone have any great recommendations??

Alien crash landed in my classroom today and NASA sent me an email asking if I wanted to watch a space launch.

How did Supertato get his powers? was today's question of the day. Some of the best answers were - He eats chips. From his belt. Born with them. Drinking rainbow juice. Eating his veg. When he puts on his cape. And my favourite... He was smashed together using lots of little potatoes.

Got this kit today. Can't wait to see what my P1s create using it. #play #creativity #STEM

Today we went from Evil Pea hiding in a broccoli floret to animal camouflage and have decided to set up a hide and seek camouflage den. #playinP1

Lunch is made, school clothes washed and dried, lessons prepped, and school bag packed. Now to chill and watch Call the Midwife.

Day 2 - The Tin Forest. The illustrations in this book are gorgeous.

Day 1 - Wild Robot by @peterbrownstudio.com A heartwarming story about a 'unique robot' Used the 2nd book with P4/5 to look at farming/robots and touched on AI. #BookventCalendar

My book advent calendar starts tomorrow. Wonder what book will be first??

Made it to another Friday. Only three more before the holidays.

This has given me an idea for a book advent calendar. Every day in December I am going to post about one of my favourite books. Anyone want to join me #BookventCalendar

As a Primary One teacher, does anyone else seem to want to change all their classroom areas at once. My list includes - Superhero City Numbers to 20 Bear Hunt Curiosity Chest Penguin Igloo Building Floating Artic Icebergs A Shop

I saw this thing last night about kids eating flavoured ice cubes to help them regulate. Geeky me is now searching for the science behind it.

I hate the wind.

I am planning some winter themed areas in my classroom. I'm thinking Jack Frost might play some tricks on the children next week, but what tricks could he play??

I do love how a little subtle interaction can change your whole day. Offering to take a simple photo of a model made a huge difference to someone's day.
