opened and etc. rather important (load bearing) metal part sheared. and not one that i've got the means to easily make (or print) plus iffy tolerances to match. bugger. ebay to check for a broken one of these it is then... (betting that all the forparts ones there have the same issue!)

there's a world fantasy con alongside fantasycon this year (in brighton, halloween weekend). there'll be lots of easter/world con folx, and possibly a few emfcamp ones too.
infest in manchester this year is music (industrial/goth) and also has a similar crossover set, but heavier to the emfcamp way

... but also, out of the 18 interviews i've had in the past 5 years, 15 were non-UK based. It appears to be a lot easier to be considered employable not-in-UK, where i basicallly bounce off the sides of things with nary a response of 'no' ...

But also you could get/use a stylus instead - give it a tassel and hang it from wrist, reticule, glasses lanyard, or belt.

Conductive thread is your friend - you can incorporate it into the seam at the end of a finger or two if you don’t want to ‘darn’ the pad. There’s also conductive glue/paint that can be used to taint the finger tips to connect to the seam hidden thread :)
