The 8 hour slow cooked brisket was yummy. There's tons left over though. Might have to get creative with them.

Tepid shower completed, now back to sweating again. 😓

I'm glad dinner is in the slow cooker today. No slaving over a hot stove required later.

I write myself these recipes and ingredients for later reference, then realise I don't have everything on the list. So I've got creative with what I do have for tonight's dinner.

Got woken up by a small bird (unknown) that flew into my bedroom window this morning with a thump. I couldn't see it on the ground, so assuming it bounced off OK.

hey remember when a rich ceo died then when they caught the suspect they made a circus of it like they found osama bin laden and charged him with terrorism but less than weeks ago two democrat lawmakers and their spouses were shot as literal assassination to shift control and everyone already forgot

Series one of Panda complete. 10/10 would recommend to fans of French comedies and cop shows. It's got a Hawaiian vibe which is totally different to your usual gritty Paris based drama. Hopefully, series 2 isn't far behind.

You can see a marked Border Patrol vehicle

Israeli officers and soldiers have revealed they’ve been ordered to deliberately shoot at unarmed Palestinians trying to get aid. That’s in Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Israel is deliberately massacring civilians it’s deliberately starving. There are few crimes more depraved.

There's clearly a rush to get home today. People blasting their horns on the main road at each other. Thank feck today's commute was just to the spare room.

Trying out the facing the fan outwards to suck all the hot air out of the room thing. Fingers crossed that it works.

The government has announced a two-tier benefits system. Under its plans, you can keep your benefits if you are disabled now, but not if you become disabled tomorrow. How is that fair? A reminder: The Independent Alliance stands by its own amendment, and we will not back down.

Israel now blocked the most direct route for aid to Palestinians in Gaza. The campaign of mass starvation continues to accelerate as the Israelis continue to commit genocide. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

I'm glad I went for a wander down to the supermarket last night when it was cooler. Today looks like another sweat-fest. Plus, I picked up a salmon wellington from Lidl that I had for dinner last night. I'm sticking to the something + salad dinners while it's hot.

So if Denis Villeneuve is directing the next Bond film, does that mean Timothee Chalamet is in the running? He's a bit scrawny and French, though.

Can't be bothered to eat lunch now, might just have a quick nap on the sofa instead.

I’ve never come across Tiny Chef before but, within 1 minute and 16 seconds, I would die for the little fella.

Its worth noting that in Britain, Mamdani would have thrown out of the Labour Party by a small room full LinkIn weirdos and then replaced by a former private healthcare lobbyist who would go on to lose by 5,000 votes to a Reform candidate who was a convinced sex offender.

Today, I asked the Deputy PM if she would support an independent inquiry into the UK's complicity in Israeli war crimes. She refused to answer. Just like Iraq, the government is doing everything it can to shield itself from scrutiny. Just like Iraq, it will not succeed in hiding the truth.

It's year-end, so that means tidying up all the financial stuff and getting new spreadsheets ready for next year. Plus, all the normal day to day stuff. Too much work and not enough brain cells this week.

Zohran Mamdani didn't just crush a political machine which had the money behind it. He hasn't just re-energised the US left. He's given hope to all of us who want an alternative to this gruesome age of injustice, creeping fascism, war and genocide.

The perfect TL improvement - baby pandas drinking milk

Started watching a new crime drama based in France, and I had to look up the filming location because it is absolutely stunning. It's set in Palavas-les-Flots in the Camargue region. That gives me an excuse to renew my passport and book a holiday in the next year or so.
