I get that all sounds like doing taxes to many (espec Deck's linux) but i bet its a bigger impact on liveliness of a consumer community than many realize that generates interest and sales

What's its tinkerability under the hood, i wonder? A huge selling point of Deck and prior ROG and Legion Go, you can step out of gaming mode and, say, mod games and apps, install emulators (legally), customize look, etc

"But we're making him look bad!" This man's likelihood to become a Trump appointee just went up 1,000%.

That said! I support businesses who, say, promise percent of profits to go toward whatever the topic is (say, proceeds to a trans mental health hotline) But if its just "buy our cheap rainbow dog box"...

I just mean CEOs as a general class are like this. Participation in Pride, and other social topics, is strategic and kept retractable on purpose

Thx for the rec! Checking it out now

The fact Democrats just didnt fucking bother interrogating Republicans, publicly, is directly relevant to why we are where we are.

I have multiple degrees on the subject carved into my brain, but theory aint leadership We will recognize real leaders when they break thru the noise by sheer force of humanity, and then the FBI is trying to kill them

"Ahhh, an elaborate book that explains what the left needs/should do" is not leadership Social media is not leadership Doing praxis is not leadership Becoming a millionaire is most fucking definitely not leadership

Yglesias is bankrolled, or is trying to be bankrolled, by republican dark money, while still enjoying the petit boug status of a democratic. My mind cannot be swayed from this. He would act no differently than he now does.

This is allegedly a children's movie.

Bones, the boyfriend of Z, the babysitter, just told a horror story ending in "He ate her!" He then pounces on her. The camera cuts to behind the couch, and you cannot see after her falls on her. She pushes him off and says "you have no respect for women!" and kicks him out. He calls her a "prude."

The entire Survivors genre: "how do you feel about actively preventing yourself from needing to do things?"
comment in response to post
Same with camps and summer programs for just about anything. Theater, STEM crap, etc. As a teacher, i see it worse each spring: overpriced program, underpaid workers, little material outcomes, huge burnout for kids.

Some other big company we all like, btw? Their CEO is saying the same thing. They're just better at hiding it, but probably far less tactful how they're saying it.

If this is not textbook fascism, then nothing is fascism. Almost impressive how clearly articulated it is.

"While celebrating Pride is something we may value, we need to acknowledge that the current climate makes this promotion feel more like a political statement... Right now, pushing this promo risks unintentionally sending the message that 'we're not for you' to a large portion of our audience."

I see it more on reddit (which i NEED to just delete), but yeah being nice doesnt make you a fucking centrist or big-tent useful idiot If just talking to ppl didnt work, the right wouldnt work overtime doing it nonstop

The *real* trolls are baiting for these negative reactions. They are looking to supply their accusations with post hoc evidence, which they will then use for further violent silencing. We should not be doing what those in power view as a service.

Yeah, im getting a little tired of the accelerant and assumptions in almost every conflict. I've been guilty of assuming ppl are trolls, but even ppl who sound like trolls can juat be coming from a different discursive space.

The Brave One, 2007. Borderline neocon reactionary schlock, but somehow works. It takes the typical male power fantasy of loss-justified violence, but unlike other fem protags in such roles, it never (to me) reduces to male-gaze BS where the protag (typical to the 00's) exists to be punished.

Yknow, not often but at times like this, i see the appeal of choosing the opposite side of the fight based purely on which side says "they hurt our feelings when we say stupid shit" Granted, thats both liberal and conservative rn (which are functionally indistinct historically in capitalism)

Clare is a top, but overall just not good at sex, and d'Urberville is the bottom of every top's dreams, but is also in denial.

Huntingdon is a pos, also. But probably a bottom in denial.
