Unless we tackle this problem now New Zealand will be paying for this over generations. The government has urgently produced a plan to have an economic growth plan. It doesn’t seem as if it shares the same sense of urgency for child poverty.

There is no plan to help these families living in poverty, only the threat of more sanctions for households already facing hardship. Child Poverty is a prison that holds too many children in New Zealand back.
