Trump has no idea who he's dealing with. Putin is working to reconstitute the USSR. His regime is literally glorifying Stalin now. Ukraine is the first step in Putin's plan but not his last. Authoritarians are threatened by the best among us. Throughout history, such regimes have targeted universities, scientists, & public intellectuals in an effort to undercut expertise & undermine public confidence in it, thus making the populace more dependent on the views of its own "dear leader."
